HIKING AND BICYCLE RIDES

Hiking and bicycle riding. The gently rolling hills around the Hesselberg provide plenty of varied bicycle and hiking trails. Forest, fields and meadows define the landscape. The meandering River Wörnitz and “the Mountain“ give the countryside its special attraction.

There are naturally many well-signposted bicycle and hiking trails in the area. These pass by orchards, carp ponds and through our colourful Middle-Franconian towns and villages.

OPEN-AIR THEATRES AND EVENTS

In June, July and August, various open-air theatres offer comedies, dramas, musicals, concerts and children’s plays. The theatres can be found in Dinkelsbühl, Feuchtwangen, Nördlingen, Weißenburg, Spalt and Dennenlohe.

The region has, however, cultural events all year round: Classic concerts, gospel choirs, theatre, cabaret, puppet theatre both for children and adults …

Local fairs and church festivals are a firm part of the region’s calendar.
